LGBTQ+ Outreach

The Stamford Church of Christ believes that the Gospel is for all people—without exception. Because LGBTQ+ people of faith have too often been excluded from Christian spaces, we take an active stance in including this community in particular. LGBTQ+ members serve, speak at, and lead worship regularly. We encourage you to take advantage of volunteer and educational opportunities with the following organizations: The Trevor Project, the Triangle Community Center,  The Reformation Project, and the Q Christian Fellowship. Our church is also listed on directories of affirming churches in the area, including gaychurch.org

Children and Youth Ministry

Through weekly gatherings and special events like Trunk or Treat, we strive to help children and youth learn to live lives of love. Email kaltrock@bellsouth.net to volunteer for nursery (during 11 AM worship), deborahpauls50@gmail.com to to volunteer as a sub for teen Sunday School, kelly.edwards@yale.edu to serve in children's Sunday School, or riowill@optonline.net to serve in Children's Worship.

Community Space (Building Use)

A major part of the way we serve our community is by opening up our building and outdoor spaces for community groups and other needs. We host multiple recovery groups, scouting troops, a homeschool cohort, and other faith communities as well as one-time events such as parties, showers, weddings, and funerals. We have multiple meeting areas that vary in size for large or small gatherings, including two large ‘community rooms’ equipped with kitchens.

For more information on short or long-term usage, please contact our Building Manager, Eddie Pleasant.

Our community programs enrich the lives of youth physically, mentally and spiritually.

Camp Shiloh is a sleepaway summer camp 90 miles north of NYC that extends the mission of Shiloh NYC for kids aged 9-15 through Christian summer camp experiences.
