Upcoming Events

  • The following recovery groups meet weekly at Stamford's building:

    • Each Wednesday at 5 PM a Happy to Be Sober AA Group meets at the building;

    • on Tuesdays/Fridays 6:30 PM a Back to Basics AA Group meets at the building. For information / to participate please click HERE.

    • A third recovery group also meets but is private.  A Gamblers Anonymous Group also meets at the building during the week, see HERE for more information.

  • Yoga sessions are held multiple days each week.

    • Dew Yoga indoor yoga sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings in Community Room II at 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Dew Yoga offers church members free sessions. Registration appreciated with Dew Yoga facilitator Jen at nejirwin@gmail.com but drop ins also welcome! If you are able, consider a donation of $5/person if you enjoy the classes and would like to participate on a regular basis.

  • Blood Drives - We host Red Cross blood drives regularly. Our next date is May 24, 2022, 11:00AM - 4:00 PM.  To register see HERE.

  • Meals for The Homeless - In partnership with Pacific House we'll prepare and deliver a meal each 4th Friday of each month this fall for those who are homeless. Contact deporahpauls50@gmail.com to volunteer. Here are the details: ​Serving on Friday, 5 PM 5/27 (prepping on Thursday 10 a.m. 5/26)

  • Spring Work Day - May 21, 9 AM: Join us for a day of spring planting/ cleaning at the church
    building (Sunday May 22 is the rain date).

  • FriendSpeak is our new outreach program which offers free conversational English lessons to people in our community who want to improve their English. Using Scripture as the basis, FriendSpeak creates a weekly space for practicing English, developing friends and sowing seeds for faith formation. It’s a perfect outreach for the multi-ethnic cities we live in. Want to learn more? Even if you’re not certain about your involvement, come to our FriendSpeak training/ overview Sunday, May 1, 2-5 PM in Community Room 2. Contact chrisaltrock@gmail.com if childcare is needed.

  • Wide Open  -  The Sunday morning adult class on Ephesians runs 5/8-7/24 at 10 AM. Ephesian Scripture Journals will be available for $7 or you can order your own HERE.

  • Quarterly Planning Meeting - Join us on after worship in Sunday, 5/15, at 12:30 PM in Community Room 2 for prayer and planning. Lunch provided. 

  • How to Get Where You Are Going - (Apr. 20 - May 25) This Wednesday night series explores 7 milestones we can expect in our life with Christ and 7 polarities or tensions that mark our life with Christ. Meets Wednesdays 7 PM online and onsite.

  • Summer Kickoff Picnic - May 29: Join us at our Picnic Spot and Green Lawn at 12:30 PM for our first summer picnic. We'll provide lawn games, electric cars, water, sodas, plates/ cups, and flatware. Bring a main dish plus side dish or dessert to share; a favorite lawn game, and friends. The propane grill will be available. Join the Picnic Pack to help with set up / take down by contacting Chris (chrisaltrock@gmail.com).

  • Summer Break Mini-Retreat - June 26 - Give yourself and your soul a break at this on- campus three hour retreat from 4-7 PM. Chris Altrock will facilitate a number of peace-filled and renewing spiritual practices you can engage in outside and inside.

  • Summer Lights Picnic - July 3 - Join us at our Picnic Spot and Green Lawn at 12:30 PM for our second summer picnic. We’ll provide hot dogs and hamburgers, plates/cups, flatware, and water-themed fun. You bring sides or desserts + drinks to share and friends. Come back that night at dusk for Sparklers on the Lawn.   • Summer Nights Movie Night - July 23 - Join us in the newly lit Picnic Spot and Green Lawn at 8:30 PM for our first outdoor movie night. We’ll provide popcorn and water. You bring lawn chairs and friends. While the movie title is TBD, it’ll be all-age appropriate.
