Upcoming Events

  • The following recovery groups meet weekly at Stamford's building:

    • Each Wednesday at 5 PM a Happy to Be Sober AA Group meets at the building;

    • on Tuesdays/Fridays 6:30 PM a Back to Basics AA Group meets at the building. For information / to participate please click HERE.

    • A third recovery group also meets but is private.  A Gamblers Anonymous Group also meets at the building during the week, see HERE for more information.

  • Yoga sessions are held multiple days each week.

    • Dew Yoga indoor yoga sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings in Community Room II at 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Dew Yoga offers church members free sessions. Registration appreciated with Dew Yoga facilitator Jen at nejirwin@gmail.com but drop ins also welcome! If you are able, consider a donation of $5/person if you enjoy the classes and would like to participate on a regular basis.

  • Blood Drives - We host Red Cross blood drives regularly. Our next date is Thursday, Dec. 9, 8 AM - 6 PM.  To register see HERE.

  • Meals for The Homeless - In partnership with Pacific House we'll prepare and deliver a meal each 4th Friday of each month this fall for those who are homeless.   • Nothing Impossible: The Unbelievable Birth of Christ (Sunday sermon series running 11/28-12/26).

  • Names for the Nativity (Sunday AM adult Bible class running 11/28-12/26).

  • The Incarnation: Overlap of Heaven and Earth (Wednesday adult Bible class running 12/8-12/29).

  • Toy Drive - December 13: Join us in helping Building One Community bless children. Deliver $25 gift cards from children's clothing stores or items from their Amazon Wish List to B1C by Dec. 13. See building1community.org for more.

  • Christmas Open House - Dec. 12, 12:15-2:00 PM. Join Chris and Kendra at their home (adjacent to the church property) for a come and go reception immediately after Sunday morning worship. Vaccinations and masks recommended.

  • A Cappella Christmas Carol Sing A Long with Storytelling - Dec. 19, 6 PM. Join us for our annual Christmas sing a long and celebration of the Christmas season. The event will be followed with a light reception in Community Room II. Please bring finger food appetizers and/or desserts.

    Care Group Gatherings - Week of Jan. 5, 2022. Stamford-area members of SCC will meet in their Care Group during the week of Jan. 5, 2022. No adult Bible Class will be held that Wednesday. Watch your Inbox for details from your Care Group Leader.

  • Love in Training Seminar 1: Loving with Strength - Physical Health and a Life of Love - Love in Training Seminars will equip us throughout 2022 to lives lives of love--loving God with heart, soul, mind and strength; and loving neighbor as self. This first four-part Love in Training seminar focuses on loving God with all our strength, exploring how our bodies and physical health are a vital component of living lives of love. Meets Wednesdays 1/12-2/2, 2022 at 7 PM.

  • New You: A Contemplative Retreat for Meditation on the New Year  - Jan. 16, 3-6 PM. Spend this afternoon in a series of self-guided practices that provide space for prayer and consideration of the New Year. Begins in Community Room 2.
